A ten hour drive worth a 2 hour memory

My brudder isn't so little anymore.

It had been decided that I was not going to be able to make Ryk's graduation, due to a new job and coaching I could't take off two days of work. His graduation was Thurs, May 27th. On my way to work on Thurs morning I started to think about all of his BIG moments that I had missed. Then I had a revelation! They cancelled gym that night for graduation... I could make it! His started at 7 pm and I got off from SUEC at 3. Oh baby, I was going and he was going to be surprised. After Kyle gave me the guilty treatment and after listening to my mom worry about everything I hopped in the car and I drove.... I drove and I drove. I kept thinking about how the moment would be when Ryk saw me and I saw him. I got there at 7:08 shhhhh don't tell highway patrol. I was able to see him lining up outside the auditorium. He came outside and I started to cry. He teared up (that is a secret though) and he said I didnt think you were going to make it. I DON'T CRY if front of family so it was a bit of a shock for him to see me in tears. Anyway I gave him a BIG HUG! The ceremony was surprisingly up beat and had character. SHort and sweet! I got some pics with him and I was back on the road. EPIC!

Kyle's baby sis gets married

So May 8th Kyle's sister, Meg, got married. It was quite the day. I had a competition as well so I packed everything together makin it a very stressful Saturday. I was in charge of making some signs for the wedding. I told Kyle, before we left.... DO NOT FORGET THE SIGNS! We are almost to the temple and I noticed NO SIGNS. So we turn around, keep in mind we were already a few minutes late. We go up the hill and down the hill on our way back to Ivins and Kyle's truck runs out of gas. We are stranded. Kyle runs to the gas station buys a gas can and fills it. By that time we were 10 min late and the temple was 10 min away. Once the truck started we decided the signs were not as important as us being there. By the time we got there, the whole family was waiting and Meg and Bob had already came out. Splendid, we missed the exit moment. But we were there. Better late than never. That's my philosophy now being married to Kyle. I plan to be late so then I can never be dissappointed, and if we happen to be on time then I'm surprised! It's easier that way. Anyway, the wedding was beautiful and Meg looked like an angel.
