A 5 year chapter ends as a new one begins

My career as a Team Gymnastics Coach came to an end this season! With a HUGE BANG!!! My level 4's PLACED! Not that I didn't believe they could do it, but we were up against 10 teams 2 of which were the top teams in the state. They pulled it off and I was so proud, couldn't think of a better way to end it. Although I will miss my girls greatly I will enjoy having normal working hours and having weekends to spend with Kyle. I love coaching. It's more of a hobby than a job though. My girls from Barefoot threw me an amazing going away party! I even got a gymnastics cake! So many fun memories. I will never forget my lil twinkies!

A ten hour drive worth a 2 hour memory

My brudder isn't so little anymore.

It had been decided that I was not going to be able to make Ryk's graduation, due to a new job and coaching I could't take off two days of work. His graduation was Thurs, May 27th. On my way to work on Thurs morning I started to think about all of his BIG moments that I had missed. Then I had a revelation! They cancelled gym that night for graduation... I could make it! His started at 7 pm and I got off from SUEC at 3. Oh baby, I was going and he was going to be surprised. After Kyle gave me the guilty treatment and after listening to my mom worry about everything I hopped in the car and I drove.... I drove and I drove. I kept thinking about how the moment would be when Ryk saw me and I saw him. I got there at 7:08 shhhhh don't tell highway patrol. I was able to see him lining up outside the auditorium. He came outside and I started to cry. He teared up (that is a secret though) and he said I didnt think you were going to make it. I DON'T CRY if front of family so it was a bit of a shock for him to see me in tears. Anyway I gave him a BIG HUG! The ceremony was surprisingly up beat and had character. SHort and sweet! I got some pics with him and I was back on the road. EPIC!

Kyle's baby sis gets married

So May 8th Kyle's sister, Meg, got married. It was quite the day. I had a competition as well so I packed everything together makin it a very stressful Saturday. I was in charge of making some signs for the wedding. I told Kyle, before we left.... DO NOT FORGET THE SIGNS! We are almost to the temple and I noticed NO SIGNS. So we turn around, keep in mind we were already a few minutes late. We go up the hill and down the hill on our way back to Ivins and Kyle's truck runs out of gas. We are stranded. Kyle runs to the gas station buys a gas can and fills it. By that time we were 10 min late and the temple was 10 min away. Once the truck started we decided the signs were not as important as us being there. By the time we got there, the whole family was waiting and Meg and Bob had already came out. Splendid, we missed the exit moment. But we were there. Better late than never. That's my philosophy now being married to Kyle. I plan to be late so then I can never be dissappointed, and if we happen to be on time then I'm surprised! It's easier that way. Anyway, the wedding was beautiful and Meg looked like an angel.

Almost 2 YEARS!!!!!!!!

Crazy to think that Kyle and I met for the first time almost two years ago. Ha ha! Can't believe how the time flies. Being married sure is an adventure. Ya never know what might present itself. Livin' day by day! I have decided to finish my associate degree at Dixie, and possible become a PTA. As long as the government is paying for it IT'S ALL GOOD! I'm falling more and more in love with St. George but I still miss my friends and family. Sometimes I think moving to a half way point between my fam and Kyle's fam would be nice. I don't think he really can understand how I feel because he has always been just a few miles away from home. Maybe, once we start a family I won't be as sad, but that won't be for awhile! Time will tell.

The light turns on!

I have always been a people pleaser. It is quite exhausting. Do people really even appreciate it in the end? Probably not. So, I have decided that I'm going to "let it be." Instead of trying to control situations to make them perfect I'm going to let them play out. Things happen for a reason and I JUST DON'T CARE ANYMORE :-) Feels great!

ONE WHOPPIN YEAR

We made it we made it to a year! Even though we came kickin and screamin we did it. Our anniversary was Sept 27th. Yes I am a slacker. I do must say that our anniversary weekend was quite the adventure. Kyle's sister got married that friday, his cousin got married that saturday and our anniversary was on sunday. Love was definitely in the air! Actually the week into it I was fearing there would be no anniversary celebration, but looky looky... everyone knows I like a challenge.

We went to Kolob for a camping getaway Saturday after the last wedding of the week. Yes I said it, camping! I enjoy camping more than anything. Sounds strange, but the thought of being that close to the stars and being part of the outdoors is so intoxicating. The crackle of the fire and the hypnotising flames. What could be better. We even had the lake beside us. It was just what the doctor ordered. Molly was not invited which made it that much more relaxing. AHHHH!

I love Kyle very much. Even though sometimes it seems like we should be caged away from eachother, there is love there. I never thought I would be the type to get carried away like this but I have. I never thought I would express my feelings for someone this way either. I feel like that really annoying Mormon that stands up during church for fast and testimony meeting EVERY MONTH and talks for 30 min while everyone else is chewing at their wrists or hoping for a miracle of spontaneous deafness. But hey, it's Life. And it is quite the adventure.

SYTYCD!

Well well what can I say about the final show of this seasons So You Think You Can Dance???
First off lets talk about the dancers... I can not dance, I have no rhythm, and I have no idea how much strength it takes to do what they do... but the way their ripped tummies look, I'm going to assume it takes a bit o effort. I do must say I quite enjoy the tumbling part of it as well. That part I can understand. Anyone who can do two back handsprings and a layout on a hard wood floor in dance shoes has my respect. I BOW DOWN.. TO YOU!
On a more negative note... When Kat Deeley announced there was going to be a surprise for the viewers I noticed the judges were no longer perched in their swivel chairs... and I knew right then and there that I was about to witness a big HOT MESS. Miss Mary Murfey MMMMMMmmmmmmmm sounds like a fictional character in a book. What the hell would you need the word Miss in front of your name if your first and last name started with an M... stupid idiot would suit her better. I got to thinking... Maybe just maybe, the surprise would be MISS MARRY MURFEY tied up like a pig under a fire with an apple in her mouth. Now that would be real entertainment.
I really enjoyed the dance in the white suits with the mirrors until the judges came out with their spirit fingers dangling about. I had to grab a pillow to shield my eyes. Mia is a large women, but at least when she moves her whole body moves in one piece. MISS MARY MURFEY on the other hand will shift her body to the left while her ass and underarms are still sagging to the right. And her HUGE GRIN, it's like something that belongs on CHUCKY. I had nightmares due to that SMIRK! Everytime she opens her mouth I wish I were deaf. Thank the heavens above for DVR so I can fast forward WTF she is going to say!
